Royal Enfield will retail the ADV in the Southeast Asian country via Didi Group, its distributor in the market.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been launched in Malaysia. The Tamil Nadu-based manufacturer’s first motorcycle powered by a liquid-cooled engine will be exported and retailed in Southeast Asia via Didi Group. Royal Enfield's entry into the Malaysian market comes barely a few weeks after it commenced sales of the ADV in the US market.

In Malaysia, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be retailed at quite the premium price range, especially compared to the India-spec model’s price. For reference, check out the table below:

Malaysia Price

India Price (Ex-showroom, Chennai)

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Base

RM 30,600 (i.e. ₹5.87 lakh)

₹2.89 Lakh

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Pass

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in Malaysia will be identical to the Indian spec mode in specifications. Therefore, the Sherpa 450 engine will remain available with the same 39.5 bhp/ 40 Nm power-torque output. Similarly, the non-adjustable USD fork and 5-step preload adjustable mono-shock will also be carried forward as they are.

Now, while the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in India primarily competes against the KTM 390 Adventure, it will also have the CFMotor 450MTX as its competition in the Malaysian market.
