The MG Cyberster will be the first-of-its-kind two-seater roadster in India’s electric vehicle space.
JSW MG is set to launch its fastest-ever roadster, the Cyberster, bringing Formula 1 engineering expertise to India's luxury electric vehicle segment. Former Italian F1 engineer Marco Fainello has fine-tuned the chassis of this modern interpretation of the classic MG B Roadster. Deriving performance from a dual motor setup, the powertrain of the roadster generates 503 bhp and 725 Nm of peak torque by utilising an eight-layer flat wire winding system and waterfall oil-cooling technology for sustained high-performance operation.
Handling characteristics have received special attention, with the car featuring a 50:50 weight distribution between front and rear. The suspension setup combines a front double wishbone and rear five-link independent systems for improved stability and traction.

The Cyberster introduces several firsts for the Indian market, including electric scissor doors equipped with dual radar sensors for enhanced safety. The doors feature an anti-pinch system with bounce-back functionality to prevent accidents during operation. Aerodynamics play a crucial role in the design, with the vehicle sporting a Kammback profile—a runcated rear roofline that aids stability and reduces body roll at high speeds.
JSW MG will retail the Cyberster through its new luxury brand channel, MG Select, which currently operates exclusive experience centres across 12 Indian cities. The initiative marks MG's entry into India's premium automotive segment, focusing on combining sustainable mobility with luxury features. The launch date and pricing details for the MG Cyberster are yet to be announced; however, JSW MG will reveal the Cyberster in all its glory at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo that is slated to take place next month from January 17 to 22, 2025.
