Europe and America will be the other important markets where Royal Enfield will focus on making the Flying Flea a success.
The newly unveiled Flying Flea C6 marks Royal Enfield’s foray into the electric mobility business – a segment that is yet to ripe fully in the country. So to make it as popular as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, per se, will not be an easy task, especially given the yet-to-develop fully developed EV infrastructure that we have. However, for Mario Alvisi, Chief Growth Officer, EV, Royal Enfield, this seems to be the perfect opportunity for Royal Enfield as a multinational company to level up matters.
Post the unveiling of the Flying Flea C6 in India, yesterday, he sat down with Acko Drive Editor-in-Chief, Siddharth Vinayak Patankar for an exclusive chat. He revealed how positive the reaction has been from everyone towards the Flying Flea C6, especially in global markets like Europe and America. After all, the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 made its official debut at EICMA 2024 in Milan, last year. From there, the Chennai-based marque showcased the bike in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show. The bike was well received in both the countries and response was quite positive.
So when it comes to the markets that Royal Enfield will focus on for the success of the Flying Flea C6, the brand will target India first. We understand the reason since it is RE’s home market, which by default gives it the advantage of a widespread network of dealerships. India will be followed by five to six markets in Europe, though the specifics were not revealed, these places had put the most number of requests after the Flying Flea C6 debuted in Milan. Similarly, USA also showed equal interest after its Vegas showcase.
