The double-Olympic medalist was given a brand-spanking new Audi RS Q8 Performance as part of this partnership.
Two-times Olympic medalist Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has joined hands with Audi India to celebrate – “performance, precision, and a progressive mindset”, shared between the athlete and the brand. “I’ve always admired Audi - not just for the cars, but for what the brand stands for,” noted Chopra. “As an athlete, these values resonate deeply with me. Whether it’s on the field or in life, the pursuit of excellence never stops. I’m excited to join the Audi family and represent a brand that inspires forward motion in everything it does,” he added.
As part of this new partnership, the sportsperson was also offered the brand’s latest Audi RS Q8 Performance in Mythos Black. The sporty SUV was launched earlier this year at a whopping ₹2.49 crore (Ex-showroom). For such a huge price, the German SUV comes with a 4.0-litre V8 that churns out a massive 632 bhp and 850 Nm which helps it accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 305 kmph.
“At Audi, we stand for those who push boundaries - those who are not just defined by performance, but by the relentless pursuit of excellence. Neeraj Chopra is the embodiment of that spirit. Determined and iconic, his journey from ambition to achievement mirrors Audi’s progressive DNA. His focus, speed, and unmatched performance make him a natural extension of our brand - a symbol of what it means to lead, not follow,” said Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head, Audi India.
