Infinix has launched its latest budget offering - the Infinix Smart 8 HD in India. The Smart 8 HD is positioned as a successor to the Infinix Smart 7 HD and aims to offer powerful features and specifications at an affordable price.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD comes in three colour variants - Timber Black, Shiny Gold and Crystal Green. It features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 500nits. Powering the smartphone is the Unisoc T606 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.
An interesting highlight of the Smart 8 HD is its "Magic Ring" feature - a pill-shaped animation on the display notch that indicates charging status, calls, notifications and more. The device runs on Android 13 (Go edition) based on the XOS 13 user interface.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD has a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a VGA AI lens. For selfies, it houses an 8-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options include USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi and more. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that is touted to offer up to 39 hours of calling time on a single charge.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD has been launched at a price of ₹6,299 for the 3GB+64GB configuration. Additionally, buyers can avail a 10 per cent instant discount on transactions made using Axis Bank credit or debit cards, which brings down the effective price to ₹5,669.
