The iQoo Neo 9 Pro's custom Q1 chip is said to improve gaming performance in supported titles.
After plenty of teasers, iQoo has formally launched the Neo 9 Pro in India, with prices starting at Rs. 36,999. This new premium phone is aimed at power users, boasting of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC as well as iQoo’s own Q1 “supercomputing chip” which handles upscaling and frame generation in supported games. It also has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display panel with a 144Hz peak refresh rate, and a 5160mAh battery. The base variant has 8GB of RAM and costs Rs. 36,999, while an upgrade to 12GB of RAM will cost Rs. 38,999. Both variants have 256GB of storage.
iQoo has rolled out a few introductory offers, including a Rs. 2,000 instant discount for ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank customers or a Rs. 4,000 bonus for anyone exchanging an older iQoo or Vivo smartphone. The Neo 9 Pro will go on sale starting from Feb 23 at 12pm on the company’s own website as well as Amazon India. The company will also sell a third variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, at a lower price, beginning in late March.
iQoo has teased the dual-tone Fiery Red finish in its pre-launch promotions. This version has a red frame and red faux leather texture with stitching across most of its back panel, with a white stripe running down the length of the phone behind the two large camera protrusions. The iQoo Neo 9 Pro is also available in a much plainer Conqueror Black finish for those who don’t want a flashy phone.
The Neo 9 Pro supports 120W fast charging and comes with a compatible adapter. The 6.78-inch display has a 1.5K 1260x2800-pixel resolution, a 3000nits peak brightness rating, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 are supported, as well as 5G on two nano-SIMs. The Conqueror Black version weighs 196g and is 7.99mm thick, while the Fiery Red finish makes this phone a bit lighter but thicker, at 190g and 8.34mm.
You get a 50-megapixel f/1.88 primary rear camera with a Sony IMX920 sensor, plus an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. The selfie camera on the front has a 16-megapixel resolution and f/2.45 aperture. The iQoo Neo 9 Pro runs Vivo’s FuntouchOS 14 UI based on Android 14.
