Hyundai Motor India has hinted at the potential arrival of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N in the Indian market, but there's a catch. Anand said, “We are doing all the permutations and combinations to understand consumer psychology, and once we feel that the time is right and the market is evolved enough for such a product, we will surely introduce our N products to India.”

Anand, mentioned they're currently trying to crack the code on consumer desires for a performance EV. "We're crunching numbers to gauge when the time will be right for such a product," he quipped.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is a modern take on Hyundai’s first-ever car, the Pony, in an all-electric high-performance avatar, developed by the South Korean giant's performance division called the N. It features two battery packs- a larger 84 kWh and a smaller 72 kWh unit, resulting in a power boost to 222 bhp and 378 bhp, respectively. To provide context, this translates to an acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and 7.4 seconds respectively.
