JCB India Hits 600,000 Construction Equipment Production and Sales Milestone

JCB India has reached a significant milestone with the production and sale of its 600,000th construction machine in the domestic market. The unit marking this achievement is a standard backhoe loader, widely used across infrastructure development, rural projects and agricultural applications due to its versatility and material handling capability.

Over the years, the company has expanded its manufacturing presence in India while building a localised supplier ecosystem to support production of equipment suited to demanding operating conditions. It currently operates six manufacturing facilities in the country.

India has also emerged as a key export base for the parent group, with locally produced machinery being shipped to more than 135 international markets.

According to Deepak Shetty,  Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of JCB India, the milestone reflects the confidence placed in the brand by customers, dealers and supply chain partners over several decades. He added that as infrastructure investment gathers pace across both central and state levels, the company is focusing on advancing its product portfolio through locally driven engineering and development efforts.
