The Wrangler facelift gets a slightly altered design and new features.
Jeep India will be launching the Wrangler facelift in India on April 22, 2024. The Wrangler facelift made its global debut at the New York Auto Show in April last year. The fourth-generation Wrangler made its debut in 2017 and the facelift comes with a slightly altered design and new features.
With the facelift, the Wrangler gets a revised front fascia with a slightly smaller grille with thinner slats. Globally, the Wrangler facelift gets a plethora of roof and alloy wheel options, but the Indian model is expected to get soft- and hard-top roof options with 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the biggest change in the Wrangler is the addition of the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. With the bigger touchscreen, the central AC vents have moved under the touchscreen system. However, the rest of the cabin remains the same as the pre-facelift model. Other features include wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, digital instrument cluster and more.
The Wrangler facelift also gets Uconnect 5 system that brings connected car features that include Trails Offroad guide which has 62 well-known off-road trails incorporated into the infotainment system. This is currently available on the North American-spec Wrangler and is unlikely to make it to the Indian-spec model.

In India, the Wrangler will continue with the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 268 bhp and 400 Nm, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Globally, the Wrangler is also available with a 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid powertrain producing 370 bhp and 637 Nm, a 3.6-litre V6 engine churning out 281 bhp and 353 Nm and a 6.4-litre V8 producing 465 bhp and 637 Nm.
The current Wrangler is priced between ₹62.65 lakh and ₹66.65 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Expect the facelifted offroader to carry a slight premium over the outgoing model and prices could start around ₹65 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Wrangler doesn’t have any direct rivals in India but faces competition from the likes of the Land Rover Defender (₹ 97 lakh - 2.35 crore).
