The new off-the-road tyre range covers self-loading concrete mixers, backhoe loaders, telehandlers and mining tippers, with a focus on durability, traction and load carrying.

JK Tyre & Industries on Tuesday expanded its off-the-road (OTR) tyre portfolio with four new products for construction, material handling and mining applications at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026 in Greater Noida.

“India’s infrastructure and industrial growth is creating a growing need for high-performance, reliable and application-specific mobility solutions. At JK Tyre, we are committed to developing OTR solutions that address the specific needs of our customers and the demanding conditions in which their equipment operates," Srinivasu Allaphan, Director - Sales & Marketing, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, said in a statement.

The new range comprises the 12.5/80-18 MPT 45 16PR TL, 16/70-20 MPT117 14PR TL, 18-19.5 MPT117 18PR TL and 12.00R20 JDO XD OTR 22PR 156/153F TT. While the first three tyres have been developed for construction and material-handling equipment, the JDO XD is intended for mining tippers.

According to JK Tyre, the products have been developed around operating conditions in India, with emphasis on durability, load-carrying ability, traction and service life. The company is targeting equipment applications where vehicle uptime and operating costs are important considerations.

The MPT 45 tyre has been developed for self-loading concrete mixers (SLCMs) and backhoe loaders working across mixed terrain. Its tread pattern is designed to provide traction and stability while supporting even wear and extended service life, according to the company.

The MPT117 pattern is intended for construction and material-handling operations involving SLCMs and telehandlers. JK Tyre said its tread geometry has been optimised for grip, durability and manoeuvrability in demanding working conditions.

The 18-19.5 MPT117 has been introduced specifically for SLCM applications, expanding the company's offering for equipment used in construction and infrastructure projects.

The fourth product, the 12.00R20 JDO XD OTR 22PR 156/153F TT, is aimed at mining tippers. JK Tyre has focused its development on the durability and load requirements associated with mining operations.

The tyre uses heavy-duty construction and a reinforced casing intended to improve resistance to cuts, chips and abrasion in demanding mining environments.
