JSW MG Motor India has started manufacturing its new premium SUV, the MG Majestor, at its plant in Halol, Gujarat. The company positions the model as the first D+ segment SUV in the Indian market.
The Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque. It comes with an all-wheel drive system offering ten off-road modes and crawl control. The company says the SUV features segment-first triple differential locks across the front, rear, and centre axles for improved traction on difficult terrain.
The vehicle offers 219 mm of ground clearance and an 810 mm water wading capacity. It also comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Biju Balendran, Deputy Managing Director at JSW MG Motor India, said the Halol facility employs rigorous quality processes to ensure the model meets high benchmarks for durability and performance.
Customer pre-reservations are now open at a booking amount of ₹41,000. The MG Majestor is expected to carry an ex-showroom price of ₹40–45 lakh depending on the variant. The ownership package includes a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty, five years of roadside assistance, and five labour-free services.
