Following in the footsteps of Mercedes, JSW-MG Motor India has confirmed intentions to increase the prices of its vehicles, effective from the new calendar year. This development is anticipated to be implemented by most, if not all manufacturers as part of their annual revisions.
According to official information, MG will adjust prices by up to 2 per cent, applicable across its entire range of models sold in the country. The carmaker is expected to announce the model and variant-specific price revisions early next month.
In typical fashion, the price increase, applicable from 1 January 2026, is being undertaken due to rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors.
It remains to be seen whether the company revises the prices of the Hector facelift, an updated version of the mid-size SUV that was launched earlier this week. With this update, MG temporarily discontinued the diesel variants of the model, with a re-introduction scheduled to take place sometime in 2026.
