JSW Motors Names Amit Jain As Chief Commercial Officer

JSW Motors Limited has announced the appointment of Amit Jain as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), marking a significant addition to the company’s senior leadership team. The appointment comes as JSW Motors looks to strengthen its commercial strategy and organisational capabilities amid its long-term plans in the Indian automotive space.

Amit Jain brings with him over two decades of experience in the automotive industry, having led large-scale retail operations and driven strategic business growth across multiple segments. Over the course of his career, he has developed a strong reputation for strengthening multi-brand portfolios and executing high-impact commercial initiatives. 

His professional expertise spans key functions such as sales, after-sales, marketing, and product management, underpinned by a customer-centric and market-focused approach. Prior to joining JSW Motors, Jain served as Group CEO and Whole-Time Director at Jubilant Motorworks. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s operational footprint and improving overall profitability. 

He was also instrumental in onboarding new automotive brands, implementing technology-led solutions, and building an organisational framework designed to support long-term growth and scalability. Earlier in his career, Jain held the position of Group CEO at AMP Motors, where he oversaw the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Ducati businesses in India. He also served as CEO and Board Member at Shaman Mercedes.

In addition to these leadership roles, Jain has led entrepreneurial ventures through Torque Lifestyle LLP and held senior positions at Ford India, Hero Honda, and Daimler Chrysler, further broadening his exposure across mass-market and premium automotive segments.

From an academic standpoint, Amit Jain is a Gold Medallist in Mechanical Engineering from North Gujarat University and holds a Master’s degree in Management Studies (Marketing) from K.J. Somaiya College. Beyond his professional career, he has also represented the Baroda Cricket Team in Under-16 tournaments, reflecting a well-rounded background.
