Keeway Hypevolt-R E-Scooter Launched In India With Blind Spot Detection, Reverse Camera, Priced at ₹1.99 Lakh

Keeway has launched the new Hypevolt-R electric scooter in India, bringing its first premium e-scooter to the market. The new Keeway Hypevolt-R is priced at ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most expensive electric scooters in the country. The new offering will be available in two colour options - Crystal White and Platinum Grey - and bookings are now open for a token of ₹5,000, through the brand’s website. The Keeway brand is managed by Aadishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) in the country.

Speaking on the launch, Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Keeway India, said, "The Hypevolt-R represents a significant milestone in Keeway's journey in India. We believe it will redefine expectations from performance electric scooters in India."

The new Keeway Hypevolt-R is powered by a 5 kWh dual battery setup, which delivers a range of 180 km (IDC). The model gets parallel removable battery packs, which can be charged on the vehicle or after removing them. The battery system supports in-vehicle charging with 0-80 per cent achievable in three hours.

Power comes from the 12 kW (16 bhp) PMS motor, which makes the Hypevolt-R a powerful electric scooter. The offering can sprint from 0-40 kmph in just 2.3 seconds, while the top speed is restricted to 115 kmph. The e-scooter comes with 30-degree gradability and the model gets three riding modes - Eco, Normal, and Sport. The Hypevolt-R gets a near-equal weight distribution with a centrally mounted motor and battery pack, allowing for sharper handling. The model also comes with instant throttle response for more engaging performance.

The Hypevolt-R gets telescopic forks at the front and a 5-step adjustable shock absorber at the rear. The seat height is accessible at 770 mm, while the ground clearance measures 130 mm. You also have 27 litres of under-seat storage space.

The e-scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels at either end, wrapped in 100/80 front and 120/70 rear semi-slick tyres. On the feature front, the Keeway e-scooter gets LED DRLs, LED headlamps, Type-A and Type-C charging ports, and a digital 5-inch TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity. There are also a host of electronic aids including Traction Control System (TCS), dual-channel ABS, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection and a reverse camera.
