The new Carnival debuted in India at Auto Expo 2023 as the KA4 but as a pre-facelift model.
Kia India is getting ready to launch the fourth-generation Carnival facelift in India and the MPV has now been spotted in India completely undisguised. The full-sized MPV will go on sale in India later, having showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 as a pre-facelift model.

The new spy shots show the design of the Carnival that will be coming to India. The facelifted model borrows design cues from the EV9 such as inverted L-shaped LED DRLs as well as vertically-stacked LED headlamps. The grille now seems bigger than the pre-facelift model as it has bigger gaps between the elements inside and the front bumper is also different. The test mule can also be seen with a different set of alloy wheels than the international model.

At the back, the Carnival’s taillamp setup is similar to the Seltos and Sonet facelifts. It has vertically stacked taillamps connected by LED lighting elements. The housing for the number plate has also been moved downwards with the new design for the tailgate.

The interior of the Carnival was not visible in the spy shots. However, expect it to get two 12.3-inch displays with one for the infotainment system and one for the instrument cluster. The Carnival will also get a head-up display, air purifier, wireless charger, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control and digital IRVM. As an accessory, it could also get two 14.6-inch full-HD displays for the second-row passengers.

The Carnival facelift is also likely to get an ADAS suite in India. Other safety features are likely to include up to eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESC, ISOFIX anchors and more.

While there is no confirmation on the powertrain options, the Carnival is likely to get a 2.2-litre diesel engine in India producing 198 bhp and 440 Nm. Globally, the Carnival facelift also comes with a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol-hybrid engine and a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine but they’re unlikely to come to India.

The Carnival facelift is likely to come to India later this year and could be priced around ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Once launched, it will compete with the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
