In India, Kia sold more than 14,000 units of the Carnival since its launch.
Kia India will open the pre-bookings for the Carnival MPV from September 16, at an initial token amount of ₹2 lakh ahead of its India launch on October 3. The Kia Carnival is making a comeback in a refreshed and upgraded avatar since the fourth generation was revealed back in 2020. In India, Kia sold more than 14,000 units of the Carnival since its launch but was then discontinued in 2023. The new-generation Carnival is expected to start at a price point north of ₹40 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Kia Carnival is expected to come loaded with a 12.3-inch dual-screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered seats, and a three-zone automatic climate control system. These enhancements are likely to position the Carnival as a more luxurious and feature-rich alternative to competitors like the Toyota Innova Hycross and even the Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
Under the hood, the Kia Carnival will employ a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine producing 284 bhp and 353 Nm of torque or a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid unit generating 239 bhp and 367 Nm of torque. It remains to be seen if Kia will also introduce a diesel variant, considering the popularity of diesel MPVs in the Indian market.
