The ‘Kia Lease’ program with the EV6 has been exclusively extended to doctors, CAs, and self-employed professionals.
Kia India has updated its lease program by including its most premium offering as of yet in India, the EV6. The electric crossover vehicle will now be available as part of the ‘Kia Lease’ program at a special rental amount of ₹1.29 lakh per month, exclusively for doctors, chartered accountants, self-employed professionals, and select corporate employees.
Kia India, in collaboration with ORIX Auto Infrastructure Service Limited, launched the Kia Lease program two months ago. Besides the EV6, the program also offers monthly rental plans for Sonet, Seltos, and Carens at ₹17,999, ₹23,999, and ₹24,999, respectively.

Speaking about this update, Myung-Sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, emphasised the tremendous success the brand has witnessed with its lease program in just two months. “The addition of the EV6 underscores our commitment to meeting customer demands and providing them with the best of technology along with sustainable mobility solutions. The positive response reaffirms our confidence in the future of the Kia Lease program as we strive to make our vehicles more accessible to a wider range of customers”, he added.

Based on the same E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) that also underpins the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the EV6 edges past its counterpart with sharper looks and a more sporty appeal, unlike the retro-futuristic-looking Ioniq 5. Powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack, Kia claims that the EV6 can do 708 km on a single charge. Kia also provides a massive 350 kW charger that takes 18 minutes to charge from 0-80 per cent of the battery, making it ideal for long-distance trips. Performance-wise, the EV6 takes just 5.2 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kmph, and with a gamut of features like a 360-degree camera, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring system, etc, the Kia EV6 is quite a premium offer.
Consequently, as a package the Kia EV6 has been an impressive EV offering from the manufacturer that has received quite the popular acceptance as well. Initially, launched in limited numbers, Kia managed to retail all of it in just a few weeks. And several high-profile celebrities, including former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, comprised the EV6’s clientele list.
