The entry-level Seltos variant is now available with up to seven exterior colour options.
To make the Kia Seltos more attractive, the brand has expanded the colour options on its entry-level base spec HTE variant. It is now available with seven colour options with the new additions being Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Intense Red, Gravity Grey, and Aurora Black Pearl. Despite these additions, it continues to be priced from the same ₹10.90 lakh (ex-showroom) as before.
Although a base-spec model, the Kia Selto HTE gets the benefit of more than just the basic safety and adequate features. For starters, it features 6 airbags, with disc brakes on all four wheels. The new updated front fascia does feature a pair of halogen projector headlamps, which feels, dated. But the cabin comes equipped with a 4.2-inch fully digital cluster with TPMS.

Mechanically, it gets the benefit of both Smartstream G1.5 petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine options. The former is good for 113.42 bhp/ 144 Nm, and the latter churns out 114.41 bhp/ 250 Nm. Both can be had with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, but the petrol engine can be had with an iVT gearbox too, while the diesel engine gets the choice of a 6-speed iMT and 6-speed AT gearbox options.
The compact SUV segment is one of the most competitive segments which includes the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. With these new colour options, the Kia Seltos HTE will certainly be an attractive affair. However, if you feel that it lacks features, the HTK variant might suffice your needs.
