Kia Seltos Receives More Than 1 Lakh Bookings In 1 Year

Kia’s compact SUV offering, the Seltos, has enjoyed continuous popularity since its launch in 2019. Kia India brought in a facelift last year along with additional features and now the company has said that the SUV has registered 1 lakh bookings, in less than a year. With an average of 13,500 bookings every month, the Seltos has now set a record for being the only SUV to receive sustained bookings in such high volumes. 

Among the Seltos’ booked, 80 per cent of buyers opted for the HTK+ variants, with over 40 per cent buyers opting for models that come equipped with ADAS. Additionally, the booking trend also mirror the rising preference among Indian customers for sunroofs, and 80 per cent Seltos buyers preferred this feature. 

Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales & Business Officer, Kia India said, “The New Seltos is helping us consolidate our market leadership consistently in the mid-SUV segment.”

Since 2019, Kia India has manufactured over 6 lakh Seltos SUVs, with 1.04 lakh units manufactured in 2023 itself. With over 80 per cent of buyers opting for the premium variants of Seltos, the rising preference among customers for top-spec models is another major highlight in the Seltos sales trend.
