Kia India has hiked the prices of the Sonet sub-compact SUV by up to ₹28,300, bringing its new ex-showroom price range to ₹7.41 lakh-₹14.18 lakh.
Kia India has announced an upward price revision across all variants of its popular Sonet. The variant-wise adjustment introduces a uniform increase ranging from ₹3,300 to ₹28,300 depending on the specific model selected.
Following the update, the entry-level price for the Sonet has been readjusted to ₹7.41 lakh, while the range-topping premium variant now costs ₹14.18 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
The pricing revision marks a purely financial update driven by broader operational costs and rising input expenditures within the automotive sector. Kia has chosen not to make any aesthetic alterations, equipment upgrades, or mechanical adjustments to the existing vehicle architecture.

Despite being six years old, the Kia Sonet continues to perform well in the Indian market, averaging a sales of around 9,000 units per month. In fact, Kia’s second shot at the subcompact SUV segment, the Syros, backfired big time because of the vehicle’s oddball design.
The Sonet’s popularity in India can be attributed to its handsome design and wide range of powertrain choices. Buyers get to choose between a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. Furthermore, manual, clutchless manual (iMT), and automatic gearbox options are available, depending on the engine chosen.
