Kia Syros locks horns with a host of subcompact SUVs such as Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3O and Kia Sonet.
Kia has expanded the Syros range with the introduction of the new HTK (EX) variant. With this addition, the Syros lineup now comprises seven trims. Slotted between the HTK and HTK Plus trims, the new HTK (EX) variant is priced at ₹9.89 lakh for the petrol version and ₹10.63 lakh for the diesel (both ex-showroom).
The Korean carmaker says that the introduction of the HTK (EX) trim is driven by direct customer feedback and the growing demand for enhanced features at accessible prices. Based on the existing HTK (O) variant, the new HTK (EX) trim brings a few subtle styling upgrades that elevate its visual appeal. These include LED daytime running lamps, LED headlamps and taillamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels, all of which contribute to a more premium exterior presence.
Inside, this new variant of the Kia Syros offers plenty of comfort and convenience features such as an electric sunroof, flush-type door handles, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, and a rear parking camera with sensors .Safety continues to be a key focus for the Syros range. The HTK (EX) variant is equipped with over 20 safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, and Vehicle Stability Management.

The former puts out 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque whereas the latter churns out 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Both engine options are available with a 6-speed manual transmission in the Syros HTK (EX) trim.
