Additionally, Kinetic EV is rolling out new special benefits to make both variants more attractive as the festive buying season approaches.
Kinetic, once a dominant name in the Indian scooter market, revived its iconic DX model as a new electric bike in July last year. The company has now unveiled updated versions of both the DX and its more premium DX+ variant, with larger 3 kWh and 3.1 kWh batteries respectively, compared to 2.6 kWh for both before.
The Kinetic DX+ 3.1 kWh is priced at ₹1,27,650 (all prices ex-showroom) and includes a retractable charging cable. The Kinetic DX 3 kWh is priced at ₹1,18,599.
The existing DX and DX+ with the 2.6kWh battery continue to remain available priced at ₹1,11,499 and ₹1,21,174 respectively. Range with the original battery is rated at 102km and 105km for the 2.6 kWh DX and DX+ respectively.
Detailed specifications of the new DX+ option have been announced. The new battery option gives it an IDC-certified range of 132 km per charge, but Kinetic also claims 105-110 km in real-world conditions. This should ease riders’ concerns about long city commutes.
Interestingly, peak power is down to 3.8 kW compared to 4.78 kW with the lower battery capacity option. The company says this is a practical balance for urban commuters.
Commenting on the launch, Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Kinetic EV, said “The DX has always stood for practicality, reliability, and a design that connects with generations of Indian consumers. With the new 3.1 kWh LFP battery, we are taking that familiar experience a step forward by offering greater range, enhanced performance, and greater confidence for everyday riding. The upgraded DX+ brings together the strengths of our iconic design with modern electric technology and thoughtful features, making the transition to electric mobility even more practical and appealing for Indian customers.”
Other features and design elements are unchanged. The Kinetic DX+ can recover power to recharge the battery during deceleration, helping improve efficiency, which the company calls K-Coast Tech. Five colour options are available for the DX+ — Black, Silver, Blue, White and Red — while the DX only comes in Black and Silver.

The higher-capacity battery can be recharged from zero to 80 percent in approximately three hours. Buyers get two riding modes: Range and Power. There’s also Park Assist with a reverse gear, IP67 dust and water resistance, 37-litre under-seat storage, a one-touch pillion footrest flip switch, and telematics.
Additionally, Kinetic EV is rolling out new special benefits to make both variants more attractive as the festive buying season approaches. Offers include a ₹2,000 benefit on the Kinetic DX 3 kWh, ₹3,000 benefit on the Kinetic DX+, an ₹8,999 extended warranty for the Kinetic DX+, and ₹5,000 Amazon cashback. The scooters also qualify for a PM E-drive rebate of ₹5,000.
