Although the Kinetic E-Luna has been listed on major e-commerce websites there is a catch.
Kinetic Green recently confirmed that the Luna moped is set for a comeback and the launch will take place in February. Though the manufacturer has yet to reveal the exact date and the specifications of the upcoming model, it was confirmed that pre-bookings for the scooter would start from January 26 onwards.
However, we now find that Kinetic E-Luna is listed on e-commerce websites. Moreover, these online shopping portals also claim that deliveries for the eclectic moped will start from February 20 onwards.
The Kinetic E-Luna will be available in two colour options, Mulberry Red and Ocean Blue. The price is a little dicey as of now. While Amazon states the price at ₹74,990, Flipkart states the ex-showroom price of the same with the Ocean Blue colour option at ₹71,990. We’ll be able to confirm the same once Kinetic Green officially launches the electric Luna in India in February.
The spec sheet of the electric scooter has also been revealed. For starters, the E-Luna will be powered by a 2 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a 2 kW electric motor which produces 22 Nm of torque at the wheel. Given its utilitarian credentials, the E-Luna will be able to cover a claimed 110 km of range on a single charge and the top speed is 50 kmph.
Details about the chassis of the new E-Luna are yet to be revealed. What we can see is that it sports a telescopic forkand dual-shock absorbers and hasa loading capacity of 150 kg.
Moreover, the electric Luna will also be available with a fully digital instrument cluster that will display the speedometer, trip, battery charge, ready symbol, direction indicator, and high beam indicator. Additionally, it will feature side stand sensors (to cut off the power if the side stand is down), a detachable rear seat to accommodate that extra luggage along with spacious footboard just like before. There’s also a USB charging port on board for mobile charging on the go.
