Zeeho also happens to be the electric subdivision of CFMoto.
Pierre Mobility Group (PMG), the parent organisation that owns KTM AG, Husqvarna, GasGas, CF Moto, and recently MV Agusta – has now acquired a new brand that specialises in electric motorcycles. Called Zeeho, the Chinese manufacturer is also the electric subdivision of CFMoto, and under this new partnership, PMG has acquired the exclusive rights to distribute the former’s electric two-wheelers in Europe.
This includes three models – Zeeho AE6, AE8, and City Sport. While the first two are maxi-scooters with performance equivalent to that of 125 cc scooters, the City Sport is an electric moped and is the only more motorcycle-looking of the lot.
The Zeeho AE6 (pictured above) weighs just 96 kg and packs in a 1.8 kW ATL soft pack cell paired to a 2.5 kW motor that produces 160 Nm of torque at the wheel. Its top speed is limited to 80 kmph and boasts a range of 90 km on a single charge. The Zeeho AE6+ is sold in our neighbouring country Nepal where it is priced at ₹ 3,44,900 (ex-showroom, Nepal).
The AE8 was launched in the Chinese market in 2022. It is available in two variants - AE8 and AE8 S+. Both pack in a swappable dual-lithium battery paired with a mid-mounted, liquid-cooled motor. In terms of performance, the e-motor churns out 218 Nm of torque at the rear wheel, which is good for a top speed of 100 kmph with 0-50 kmph coming up in just 2.6 seconds.
The least powerful model of the lot, the Zeeho City Sport+ is engineered and designed from the ground up to be a good practical city bike. Powered by a 2.4 bhp e-motor and with just 74 km of range on offer, the City Sport+ can navigate the lanes and bylanes with a comfortable top speed of just 43 kmph.
The PMG-Zeeho collaboration is the latest Euro-Chinese partnership to happen in recent times. This week also saw Stellantis strike a deal with Chinese EV manufacturer Leapmotor to become the exclusive dealer of the latter’s four-wheeler offerings in the European market. Leapmotor is also set to launch in India, however, no such intention has been conveyed by Zeeho. The electric two-wheeler segment in India is nonetheless booming with several homegrown manufacturers.
