Lamborghini has officially announced the India launch date for the Temerario, its much-anticipated successor to the Huracan. Scheduled for April 30, 2025, the launch comes earlier than the previously speculated timeline of late 2025. The supercar, first unveiled globally in August 2024, is set to introduce a new level of performance with a hybrid powertrain.
The Temerario is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine paired with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 907 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. The V8 engine alone produces 789 bhp and 730 Nm, capable of revving up to 10,000 rpm. Performance figures are impressive, with a 0-100 kmph sprint time of just 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 343 kmph. Power is managed through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Lamborghini has equipped the Temerario with a small 3.8 kWh battery, which can be fully charged in 30 minutes using a 7 kW AC charger. Additionally, the battery can be charged through regenerative braking or directly via the V8 engine, enhancing efficiency without compromising performance.
Design-wise, the Temerario retains key Lamborghini styling elements while incorporating modern aerodynamic enhancements. The shark-nose front end and lower-lip spoiler take inspiration from previous Huracan models, while the roofline and side panels feature sharper lines for improved airflow. The new headlights are slimmer, with hexagon-shaped LED DRLs, a design theme that extends to the tail lights, rear exhaust, side mirrors, and fuel tank cap. The car rides on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, available in forged and carbon-fibre options.
Structurally, the Temerario boasts an aluminium spaceframe that improves torsional rigidity by 20 per cent over the Huracan’s mixed-material chassis. Lamborghini also offers a track-focused Alleggerita package, which replaces several components with carbon fibre, reducing the car’s dry weight by 25 kg from its standard 1,715 kg.
Inside the cabin, the Temerario adopts an aircraft-inspired design reminiscent of the Revuelto. The centre console continues Lamborghini’s tradition of a fighter jet-style push start/stop button. Physical buttons have been preferred over digital controls on the steering wheel for better usability. The dashboard houses three screens: a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 8.4-inch touchscreen in portrait orientation, and a 9.1-inch passenger display. The 18-way adjustable driver’s seat comes with heating and ventilation features for added comfort.
In terms of pricing, the Lamborghini Temerario is expected to see a slight increase over the Huracan, with an estimated ex-showroom price of around ₹7 crore. It will compete against the McLaren 750S and Ferrari 296 GTB in the Indian market.
