Toyota launched a special edition of the Land Cruiser J300 in the United Arab Emirates to celebrate its 10 consecutive victories in the Dakar Rally's production car category. This new model called the Land Cruiser 10th Victory Edition distinguishes itself with dark accents, 18-inch alloy wheels, and rally-inspired stickers. It is available exclusively with a V6 petrol engine.
The 10th Victory Edition builds on the existing Land Cruiser 300 Black Edition available in the UAE, retaining elements such as the black-finished grille, skid plate, and mud flaps. However, it introduces unique black and grey decals that run along the profile and rear bumper, reflecting the Land Cruiser’s motorsports heritage. Additionally, it features black 18-inch alloy wheels with 285/60 R18 tyres and red-finished front recovery points.
Critics might argue that the 10th Victory Edition could have been more fittingly based on the Land Cruiser GR Sport, which features a more rugged body kit and advanced suspension system. The GR Sport variant is the model that contributed to Toyota's recent Dakar Rally successes. Nevertheless, the special edition remains derived from the entry-level model.
Toyota's 10 victories were achieved in the production car category rather than the overall standings, with wins in the 2019, 2022, and 2023 Dakar Rally editions using specially-prepared Toyota Hilux pickups. Unlike the diesel-powered Land Cruiser GR Sport used in Dakar, the 10th Victory Edition uses a turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 engine that delivers 403 bhp and is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and Toyota’s 4WD system.
Inside, the 10th Victory Edition offers familiar features such as a 9-inch infotainment display, tri-zone climate control, wood grain accents, fabric seats, and a leather steering wheel.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 10th Victory Edition is priced at AED 319,900 (₹72.57 lakh) in the UAE, matching the price of the Black Edition trim and remaining lower than the GR Sport variant, which is priced at AED 412,900 (₹93.67 lakh).
