Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition Production Expanded to 999 Units Following Customer Demand

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced a significant expansion in the production numbers of its highly coveted BE 6 Batman Edition, increasing the limited run from the originally planned 300 units to 999 units. The announcement comes as a direct response to overwhelming customer demand for the world's first commercially available Batman-inspired electric SUV. 

The BE 6 Batman Edition, developed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, was initially launched as an ultra-exclusive collector's item with just 300 units priced at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the company has now decided to triple the production run to accommodate the unprecedented interest from Batman enthusiasts and electric vehicle buyers across India. 

"You asked. We listened," reads the company's latest communication. The expanded production maintains the same premium pricing structure and exclusive design elements that made the original launch so compelling. 

The Batman Edition features a distinctive Satin Black exterior finish complemented by custom Batman decals on the front doors and Alchemy Gold-painted brake callipers and suspension springs. The vehicle showcases Batman logos strategically placed across various elements including the fenders, hub caps, rear bumper, and even the panoramic glass roof. 

Interior enhancements include a black and gold theme with suede leather upholstery featuring gold stitching, Batman logos embossed on seats, and special lighting elements that project the iconic Bat symbol. The dashboard features a numbered Batman Edition plaque, while the steering wheel's boost button has been replaced with the Batman logo. 

Based on the top-specification Pack Three variant, the Batman Edition comes equipped with a 79kWh battery pack delivering an ARAI-claimed range of 682 kilometres and 286 horsepower. The vehicle retains all premium features including dual 12.3-inch screens, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and comprehensive Level-2 ADAS suite. 

Bookings for the BE 6 Batman Edition commenced on August 23, with deliveries scheduled to begin on September 20, coinciding with International Batman Day.
