Mahindra Deploys AI Voice Agents for XUV 7XO Sales With ElevenLabs

Mahindra & Mahindra has deployed AI-powered voice agents built on ElevenLabs' platform during the launch of its XUV 7XO SUV, using the technology to manage a uptick in customer enquiries and run outbound lead campaigns at scale. The rollout was led by Mahindra AI, the firm's dedicated artificial intelligence (AI) division, ahead of the vehicle's launch on 5 January. 

Voice agents conducted outbound calls to prospective buyers, handled multi-turn conversations, answered product queries, and routed interested leads through to dealerships.

ElevenLabs' voice AI platform underpinned the deployment, with both companies saying it enabled low-latency, natural-sounding calls to run simultaneously across multiple languages -- a particular requirement given the scale of a national vehicle launch in India.

Manjari Upadhye, Chief Marketing Officer of Mahindra's Automotive Division, said the arrangement was designed to keep pace with customer demand during peak periods while ensuring dealership pipelines remained active and well-stocked with qualified leads.

Karthik Rajaram, GM and Country Head for India at ElevenLabs, said the system handled thousands of concurrent calls throughout the launch window.

The companies reported that the initiative produced higher contact rates and an estimated 8 per cent uplift in conversions, alongside a measurable increase in qualified enquiries. Mahindra AI has since indicated it intends to extend AI voice agent capabilities to other customer-facing workflows across its automotive business.
