Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd (MLMML) continued its unbroken run at the top of India’s electric commercial vehicle market in September 2025, extending its leadership streak to three consecutive fiscal years. With early bets on electrification—particularly in the L5 three-wheeler (3W) category—MLMML launched its L5 EV journey in 2018, setting the template for both legacy OEMs and start-ups.
MLMML sold over 12,500 commercial EVs in September 2025, significantly boosting overall EV penetration across last-mile applications. Year-to-date electrification in the L5 category stood at approximately 32%. In the highly competitive L5M passenger e-auto segment, MLMML commanded an impressive 43.3% market share despite intensifying competition from emerging players.
Overall, MLMML’s share across all L5 EVs in September was 43.1%, cementing its position as India’s No. 1 commercial EV manufacturer. The company achieved 51% year-on-year growth in Q2 FY 2026, reflecting robust customer demand. Cumulative EV sales have now surpassed 285,000 units, with the most recent 100,000 units sold in just 13 months—a testament to strong consumer appreciation for MLMML’s products.
Key models driving this success include the Treo, Zor Grand, e-Alfa, Treo Yaari, Treo Zor and four-wheeled Mahindra ZEO. Advanced, customer-centric engineering ensures superior performance, comfort and profitability. A pan-India dealer and service network facilitates seamless sales and aftersales support.
MLMML’s UDAY NXT programme, offering benefits such as ₹20 lakh accidental insurance, further differentiates its value proposition. While Tata Motors led overall electric commercial vehicle sales in September with 619 units and a 33.5% share in the broader ECV segment, it is Mahindra that dominates the L5 3W category—a critical benchmark for last-mile mobility leadership.
