Mahindra Reports 20% Sales Growth in July 2026; SUV Sales Cross 60,000 Units

Mahindra has reported total auto sales of 1,03,860 vehicles for the month of July 2026, marking a 26% year-on-year growth across its utility vehicle, commercial, three-wheeler, and export segments.

In the passenger vehicle segment, the company recorded domestic Utility Vehicle (UV) sales of 60,048 units, reflecting a 20% increase compared to 49,871 units sold in July 2025. Total utility vehicle volumes, including exports, stood at 60,887 units. Year-to-date (YTD) domestic UV sales reached 2,34,793 units for FY27, up 16% from 2,01,938 units during the corresponding period last fiscal year.

In the commercial vehicle and three-wheeler spaces, domestic sales for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs under 3.5 tonnes) grew to 25,204 units. Light commercial vehicles weighing under 2 tonnes registered a 40% rise to 3,870 units, while LCVs in the 2-to-3.5-tonne range grew 21% to 21,334 units.

The three-wheeler portfolio, including electric models, saw a 53% surge in domestic volumes to 14,538 units. Overseas shipments also posted strong momentum, with total exports jumping 47% to 4,070 units in July 2026.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division at Mahindra, attributed the performance to consistent demand across both passenger and commercial portfolios as the automaker continues its growth trajectory into the second quarter.
