Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded its aftersales service operations in the Delhi-NCR region with a larger service network, a training centre and electric service vans for doorstep assistance for sport utility vehicle and electric sport utility vehicle owners.
The company has set up the Mahindra Institute of Learning Excellence with an area of 26,000 sq ft. The centre will offer training in sales, mechanical service and bodyshop operations for dealer staff and service personnel from the region.
Mahindra said the facility includes a learning hall for hands-on sessions. The programmes will focus on service for the company’s sport utility vehicle and electric sport utility vehicle range, as electronics and software content in vehicles increases across segments.

Along with the training facility, Mahindra has deployed electric service vans under the Electric Vehicle Assistance Network banner. These e-vans will operate across Delhi-NCR and will handle periodic maintenance, cleaning jobs and minor repair work at the customer location for electric sport utility vehicles.
Each van carries a battery pack with charger, a hydraulic scissor lift, a wheel balancer and equipment for basic car care services, according to the company. Mahindra plans to introduce more such vans in other cities and extend coverage beyond the current deployment in Delhi-NCR.
The automaker has also added five service touchpoints in the region. With these outlets, Mahindra said its service capacity in Delhi-NCR has gone up by the equivalent of 70 working bays. The company expects this to reduce waiting time for routine jobs and repair work for vehicles in the area.
The new outlets will handle the sport utility vehicle range and one facility in northwest Delhi will work as a commercial vehicle service touchpoint. Mahindra said the expansion is part of a wider plan for aftersales support for its passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle portfolio across key markets.
