Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup Truck Revealed

Mahindra has officially revealed the Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck in India. The vehicle will officially go on sale by April 2027 at a starting ex-showroom price of ‘lower than ₹19.79 lakh’.

Utilising the same body-on-frame platform as the Scorpio N, the Scorpio Lifestyler is positioned to directly challenge the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, and to some extent, even the Toyota Hilux in the Indian market. Beyond domestic shores, Mahindra plans to export the pickup truck to several international markets, where it will be badged simply as the Lifestyler without the 'Scorpio' moniker.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Exterior

The exterior design of the Scorpio Lifestyler strikes a balance between toughness and modern aesthetic appeal. At the front, it sports high-set LED headlamps accented by L-shaped DRL signatures, a broad honeycomb-mesh grille with contrasting trim, and 'Scorpio' lettering embossed along the leading edge of the bonnet. The aggressive front profile is further reinforced by a prominent skid plate featuring 'Mahindra' branding, a wide lower air intake, and vertically arranged LED fog lamps.

From the side, the pickup adopts a double-cab layout, highlighted by chunky body cladding, roof rails, dual-tone alloy wheels fitted with off-road tyres, and a distinctive kinked beltline along the glass house. Moving to the rear, the truck features vertically stacked LED tail-lamps with integrated C-shaped lighting elements, flanking a tailgate that displays a bold, molded 'Mahindra' wordmark. The rear bumper mirrors the rugged theme established by the front end.

At reveal, Mahindra has showcased the pickup truck in three editions with different colours and accessories: Reef Edition, Trail Edition, and Valley Edition.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Powertrains

The powertrain details of the Scorpio Lifestyler haven't been revealed. However, Mahindra should slowly unveil more details as the vehicle gets closer to launch. We do expect it to share its engines with the Scorpio N. A 4x4 option is also likely to be offered.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Interior

Contrary to its utilitarian exterior appearance, the cabin of the Scorpio Lifestyler offers a far more modern and comfortable layout. The central dashboard is dominated by a portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system framed by vertical air-conditioning vents, positioned above a dedicated climate control unit and physical control switches. The driver is provided with a three-spoke steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster, while the central transmission tunnel houses further physical controls for vehicle functions.

For passenger convenience, the Scorpio Lifestyler comes equipped with a healthy set of features. Highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, connected car technologies, selectable terrain modes, and various additional creature comforts tailored for both daily commuting and off-road trips.
