Mahindra Scorpio N-Based Pickup Teased Ahead of August 14 Reveal

Mahindra has shared the first teaser for its highly anticipated global pickup truck ahead of its debut on August 14, 2026. The upcoming offering will be the production version of the Global Pik Up concept showcased in 2023, and shares its underpinnings with the Scorpio N in the automaker’s stable. The teaser shows a great deal about the new lifestyle pickup, which will rival the new-gen Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross when it goes on sale in India. 

The new teaser shows key bits that we can expect from this pickup truck, including L-shaped DRLs with slim LED headlamps, a hexagonal mesh design on the grille, and LED fog lamps. The profile showcases a double-cab design, though we suspect Mahindra will also offer a single-cab version, depending on the market. The teaser further reveals a nearly flat tailgate with a massive Mahindra logo, and C-shaped LED taillights. This model will come with fancier diamond-cut alloy wheels as well.

Inside, the Mahindra pickup truck promises a tech-friendly cabin with a portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system, rotary knobs for climate control functions, a drive mode selector, and a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The cabin promises shades of black and grey, and we expect to see leatherette upholstery among other niceties. 

On the features front, the Mahindra pickup is expected to come with the 540-degree camera view that was recently introduced on the Scorpio-N. We also expect to see Level 2 ADAS, a digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, and possibly a single-pane sunroof. 

The Mahindra lifestyle pickup is expected to share its engine options with the Scorpio-N, which would bring the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel engines. Transmission options will include both manual and automatic on either engine option. Expect to see 4x4 on the top trims, but Mahindra could bring a 4x2 option as well, to indulge a lower starting price. There will be multiple drive modes as well, including Sand, Snow, Mud, Rocks, and more. 

Based on the new ladder frame chassis, the pickup should score well on the safety front, making it ready for global aspirations. The Mahindra Scorpio N pickup will have a significant price advantage over the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross. Moreover, it will help the automaker grow in markets such as Australia and South Africa, where the demand for pickups is much higher.
