Offered exclusively with a 2.8-litre diesel engine and automatic transmission, the new Hilux gets fresh styling, a big 12.3-inch touchscreen, and new 4x2 variant option.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the ninth-generation Hilux pickup truck in India, with prices starting at ₹31.99 lakh and topping out at ₹36.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

Retaining its rugged IMV body-on-frame platform and Double Cab configuration, the updated lifestyle pickup arrives with a redesigned exterior, a modernised interior, and enhanced technology. Official bookings are currently open, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in the second week of August.

The 2026 Hilux is available across three variants: the entry-level GX 4x2 AT priced at ₹31.99 lakh, the mid-tier GX 4x4 AT at ₹33.69 lakh, and the flagship VX 4x4 AT priced at ₹36.69 lakh. Compared to the outgoing generation, the starting price has increased by ₹3.47 lakh, driven by the introduction of standard automatic transmissions and updated hardware.

On the outside, the pickup features an upright front fascia with a honeycomb-pattern grille, slim LED headlights, bold 'TOYOTA' block lettering across the front and tailgate, new 17-inch alloy wheels, and an integrated step on the rear bumper for easier cargo bed access.

Inside, the cabin gets a refreshed dashboard equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera system, powered and ventilated front seats, and a wireless phone charger.

Under the hood, the Hilux retains its 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, generating 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The 4x4 models continue to feature a low-range transfer case, electronic differential lock, multiple terrain drive modes, and downhill assist control.
