Mahindra & Mahindra has stirred excitement in the electric vehicle (EV) sector with a new teaser of its upcoming electric SUVs, the BE 6e and XEV 9e. These models are set for a global unveiling on November 26, 2024. The BE 6e boasts a bold and aggressive design language characterized by angular lines and a sleek aerodynamic profile. The front end features distinctive vertical LED light signatures, integrated with a minimalistic grille that reflects modern EV trends.
On the other hand, the XEV 9e adopts a more premium, coupe-inspired silhouette. Horizontal lighting elements span the width of its strong front fascia, creating an expansive appearance. Details such as pop-out flush door handles, prominent wheel arches, and sculpted panels emphasise its elegance and aerodynamics. Both SUVs feature illuminated brand logos and LED light strips, underscoring their tech-forward design ethos.
Mahindra is also focusing on futuristic interiors for these models. The BE 6e is expected to offer an advanced cockpit layout, featuring a dual-screen setup and a unique split centre console. Ambient lighting and an illuminated BE logo on the steering wheel aim to elevate the premium feel. The XEV 9e is said to take interior luxury a step further with a triple-screen dashboard and white upholstery.
While detailed specifications remain under wraps, Mahindra has hinted at robust performance capabilities for both models. Industry analysts expect battery packs between 60 kWh and 80 kWh, supporting potential ranges of up to 500 km on a single charge. The SUVs are likely to offer rear-wheel drive (RWD) and All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) configurations, with fast-charging compatibility using 175 kW DC chargers.
