The Vision.SXT will debut alongside three more concepts and a new platform.
Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped its second teaser for the Vision.SXT concept, ahead of its debut on August 15. This time, we get more than a glimpse of the bonnet, with the teaser hinting at the profile of the rugged SUV/ Pickup concept. The first teaser teased us with a top-down shot of the bonnet only, leaving fans guessing what lay beneath
Now, the second teaser shifts perspective to the side of the front end, revealing a powerful, upright fascia, clamshell bonnet lines, flared wheel arches with rugged plastic cladding, and chunky off-road tyres – signs of genuine off-road capability.
Hints of a utility or pickup-focused design emerge through the teaser’s muscular styling, exposed hinges for the bonnet, rugged wheel arches, protruding indicators and chunky grille. The Vision.SXT is likely to be an evolved version of the Global Pikup concept that was based on the Scorpio N and first seen in South Africa in 2023.
It will be built on Mahindra’s new Freedom_NU platform, which will support internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, and electric powertrains. The platforms and the four concepts – Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.X and Vision.SXT – will be built at Mahinda’s plant in Chakan, Pune.
