Bookings for both models will commence in January 2025, with deliveries scheduled to start between February and March 2025.

Mahindra has officially announced the booking timeline for its eagerly awaited electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e. Bookings for both models will commence in January 2025, with deliveries scheduled to start between February and March 2025, which allows Mahindra ample time to ramp up production. The XEV 9e, Mahindra’s flagship under its newly minted XEV sub-brand, and the BE 6e, part of the Born Electric (BE) sub-brand, are built to offer cutting-edge technology, futuristic designs, and efficient powertrains, meeting the growing demand for sustainable and premium mobility solutions.

The XEV 9e stands out with a coupe-inspired design, boasting futuristic triangular headlamps, a full-width LED DRL at the front, and bold taillamps in an inverted L shape. The BE 6e, on the other hand, flaunts a cab-forward design, a short bonnet, and signature C-shaped LED DRLs for a unique yet functional aesthetic. Both vehicles share Mahindra’s advanced INGLO platform, which is modular and scalable, making it a robust foundation for a variety of future EVs. The lightweight, flat-floor structure of this platform is designed to optimize weight distribution, energy efficiency, and passenger safety.

Mahindra was able to stretch the car to its maximum, allowing for a 4789 mm length while sitting on a 2775 mm wheelbase and 207 mm above the ground.

Both models will offer two battery options—a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh—utilising lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology, with both cars capable of charging from 20 to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger. Both the XEV 9e and BE 6e deliver 227 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, with a claimed range of 656 km and 682 km, respectively.

Both vehicles also include advanced safety systems like Level 2 ADAS, 7 airbags, and driver drowsiness detection to ensure a secure driving experience.
