While the XEV 9e is available in three colours, the BE 6e is available in four colours.
Mahindra has just launched the new BE 6e and XEV 9e electric coupe SUVs in India at ₹18.90 lakh and 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India), respectively. Bookings will begin in January 2025 and deliveries are expected to begin between February and March next year. The new BE 6e is the first model under Mahindra’s new Born Electric (BE) sub-brand, while the XEV 9e is the first model under the automaker’s new XEV sub-brand.
The BE 6e is available in four colours which include Desert Myst, Everest White Satin, Firestorm Orange and Tango Red. Desert Myst has a green hue to it, while Firestorm Orange is a subtle glossy orange. Everest White Satin is the most basic colour option available on the new BE 6e and the Tango Red looks the most vibrant.

On the other hand, the XEV 9e is only available in three colour options – Desert Myst, Everest White and Tango Red. They are the same colours as the BE 6e but the Everest White on the XEV 9e has a more glossy finish as compared to the same colour on the BE 6e.
Inside, the BE 6e gets a dual-screen layout with two 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and virtual instrument cluster. It also comes with a two-spoke steering wheel and an augmented reality (AR) head-up display.

The XEV 9e, on the other hand, gets a triple-screen layout with three 12.3-inch screens. The third one is mounted right in front of the passenger and Mahindra says this creates a 43-inch wide display on the dashboard. Both come with a host of standard safety features like 7 airbags, improved crash safety, driver drowsiness detection and level 2 ADAS.
The new electric SUVs from Mahindra are based on the brand’s new INGLO architecture. Both get a single electric motor setup producing 227 bhp and 380 Nm. Mahindra claims the BE 6e can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.7 seconds, while the XEV 9e takes 6.8 seconds.
