The CNG SUV comes in four manual-only trims priced between ₹9.99 lakh and ₹12.27 lakh, each adding a distinct set of features over the last.
Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO ZNG, its first mainstream factory-fitted CNG SUV, in four variants priced from ₹9.99 lakh to ₹12.27 lakh, ex-showroom. Deliveries begin on 20 October. All four trims share the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine running on a twin-cylinder CNG system, but differ sharply in equipment.
The base MX Edge, priced at ₹9.99 lakh, is built around practicality rather than frills. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay, a reverse camera, cruise control and parking sensors. Steel wheels, bi-halogen projector headlamps and LED tail lamps cover the exterior, while safety is handled by six airbags, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child-seat mounts as standard.
Moving up, the REVX Edge (O) at ₹10.79 lakh keeps the MX Edge's core features but adds comfort touches aimed at everyday use: a Skyroof, roof rails, electrically foldable mirrors, auto headlamps and wipers, and push-button start with passive keyless entry. Black leatherette seats and a height-adjustable driver's seat round off the cabin upgrades, alongside a dual-tone roof and alloy-style wheel covers.

The AX5, at ₹11.19 lakh, marks a bigger step up in technology. It introduces a fully digital instrument cluster alongside the touchscreen, upgraded to a six-speaker system, and brings Mahindra's AdrenoX Connect suite with built-in Alexa voice assistance and online navigation. Dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, diamond-cut alloy wheels and a single-pane sunroof are also included, along with tyre-pressure monitoring and a rear spoiler.
At the top sits the REVX A, priced at ₹12.27 lakh, which carries over the AX5's technology and adds Dolby Atmos sound, a Skyroof, black leatherette upholstery and painted black alloy wheels for a more distinct cabin and exterior finish.
Across all four variants, the engine delivers identical output on both CNG and petrol — 82 kW (around 110 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque — paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra says the twin-cylinder layout, running at 10 bar pressure, allows a certified efficiency of 24.7 km/kg, though it reduces boot space to 270 litres from 364 litres in the petrol-only model.
The XUV 3XO ZNG enters a market where CNG now accounts for close to a quarter of passenger vehicle retail sales in India, putting it in direct contention with the Tata Nexon iCNG and Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG.
