The XUV 700 is set to evolve into the XUV 7X0 in 2026.

Mahindra & Mahindra has released the first official teaser for its facelifted XUV700 SUV, to be called the XUV 7X0.

The teaser confirms that the SUV will be fully revealed on January 5, 2026. The short teaser video clip offers fleeting views of key design elements, including a revised front grille, sleeker taillamps, and a side profile highlighting new C-shaped LED headlamps.

These changes suggest a subtle refresh to the exterior, aligning the model with Mahindra's evolving design language seen in recent launches.

Spy images and test sightings over the past months indicate the facelift will not overhaul the body's proportions, retaining the familiar stance and dimensions of the current XUV700. At the rear, the design may draw cues from the newly introduced XUV 9S EV, featuring sharper LED taillight clusters and a more integrated bumper setup.

New alloy wheel designs are also expected, though specifics remain under wraps. This mid-cycle update comes as the XUV700, launched in 2021, continues to hold strong sales in the competitive mid-size SUV segment against rivals like the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar.

Inside, the cabin promises noticeable upgrades, particularly on higher trims. A triple-screen dashboard layout is on the cards, comprising a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated 12.3-inch co-driver entertainment screen, mirroring setups in Mahindra's latest electric models.

Comfort features could include ventilated front seats with memory function, multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and brown leatherette upholstery. Seating options are likely to stick with 6- and 7-seater configurations, potentially including captain seats in the second row for added versatility.

Under the bonnet, no major alterations are anticipated. The powertrain lineup should carry over unchanged, offering a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (197 bhp, 380 Nm) and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel (182 bhp, up to 450 Nm torque), paired with manual or automatic transmissions and optional AWD on select diesel variants.

The XUV 7X0 facelift may see a marginal price hike over the XUV 700, depending on added features. Deliveries are slated to commence shortly after the January launch, positioning it as a timely refresh to sustain buyer interest amid rising competition.
