This will be the first major update to the Mahindra XUV700 since it was first launched in 2021.
Mahindra is preparing to launch the facelifted XUV700, under the new name XUV 7XO. The Chakan-based carmaker has already started accepting pre-launch bookings for the upcoming XUV 7XO. Interested customers can book the Mahindra XUV 7XO by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000 at any dealership across the country, or on Mahindra’s official website.
Ahead of its debut, scheduled for 5 January 2026, Mahindra has released a series of teasers that have revealed various aspects of this updated mid-size SUV. The latest teaser for the Mahindra XUV 7XO has given us a sneak peek into its cabin.
The latest teaser on Mahindra’s social media handles confirms the addition of a triple-screen display, much like we’ve seen in the XEV 9E and the recently launched XEV 9S. This setup comprises three 12.3-inch screens for infotainment, driver’s instrumentation, and passenger entertainment. It is not clear whether this will be standard, or optional on some variants.

Besides the redesigned dashboard, the teaser also reveals a new gloss black two-spoke steering wheel with Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo. Another important detail is the new ‘Boss Mode’, which lets someone in the rear move the front passenger seat themself; useful when being driven around by a chauffeur. Along with these features, the XUV 7XO will also have a refreshed dual-tone interior theme. Mahindra is expected to offer new cabin colour options, likely combining beige and maroon, marking a significant departure from the interior palettes offered on the present XUV700.
Previous teasers and spy shots have revealed several exterior updates. The mid-size SUV is set to receive notable revisions at the front, including a reworked vertical bronze-slatted grille accented with piano black inserts. The lighting design appears to take cues from the recently launched Mahindra XEV 9S.
Updates are expected to include boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, trapezoidal LED lighting elements at the front, and redesigned taillamps featuring hexagonal detailing. The latest teaser also showcases updated dual-pod projector LED headlamps along. Meanwhile, recent spy images point to subtle revisions to both the front and rear bumpers, with changes to the body’s sheet metal also likely.
