Mahindra XUV700 Crosses 2 Lakh Production Milestone In Under 3 Years

The Mahindra XUV700 was launched in India in August 2021, and since Mahindra has produced more than two lakh units of the SUV. The first one lakh production milestone was achieved 21 months after its launch, and the next one lakh came in just 11 months since. 

To commemorate this milestone, Mahindra has introduced two new colours for the XUV700 – Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. The former is available on other Mahindra models like the Scorpio N, Thar and the XUV 3XO. However, the Burnt Sienna colour is exclusive to the XUV 700. Other colour options for the XUV700 include Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage and Napoli Black. Apart from the new colours and the Napoli Black, all the other colours are available in a dual-tone finish. 

The XUV700 gets seven trim levels – MX, AX3, AX5 Select, AX5, AX7, AX7 Luxury and AX7 Luxury Blaze Edition. Prices for the XUV700 start at ₹13.99 lakh for the MX petrol variant and go up to ₹26.04 lakh for the AX7 Luxury Blaze Edition diesel variant. 

Powering the XUV700 are two engine options. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 197 bhp and 380 Nm, while the 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 182 bhp and 450 Nm (420 Nm with the manual gearbox). Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
