The 2026 Brezza scored 14.41 points out of 16 in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test and a perfect 16 out of 16 in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test.
Maruti Suzuki has achieved a five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating for the new Brezza facelift, giving it a significant advantage as it launches tomorrow in a crowded market. The five star rating is based on high scores: 30.41 out of 32 total points for adult occupant protection, and 43 out of 49 points for child occupant protection. A previous Brezza model had achieved a four-star Global NCAP rating for adult safety and two stars for child safety, in 2018.
The improved safety score points to Maruti Suzuki taking safety seriously, and adds another feather to its cap following the five-star ratings already earned by the Dzire, Victoris, e Vitara, and Invicto.
Bharat NCAP’s ratings apply to 11 variants of the new Brezza named LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ across its 1.5L 6MT, 1.5L 6AT, and 1.0L Turbo 6MT powertrain options. The tests were conducted in June 2026, on a ZXI+ 1.5L 6AT unit.

Standard safety equipment on all variants of the new Brezza facelift includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC), side head protection (curtain airbags), pedestrian protection, and seatbelt reminders.
As for crash testing, the Brezza scored 14.41 points out of 16 in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test and a perfect 16 out of 16 in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test. Head, neck, lower body and foot protection were rated Good, while chest protection was Good for the front passenger and Adequate for the driver.
Child occupant scores came in at a full 24 out of 24 Dynamic score, 12 out of 12 points for Child Restraint System Installation, and 7 out of 13 points for Vehicle Assessment.
