Maruti Suzuki Exports 2 Lakh Fronx Units in Record Time

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that its Fronx has surpassed 2 lakh cumulative exports in under 38 months, becoming the fastest SUV manufactured in India to accomplish this feat. Built at Maruti Suzuki's Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, the vehicle is currently exported to nearly 90 overseas markets, including Japan.

Having commenced international shipments in June 2023, the Fronx registered rapid global traction. The vehicle completed its first 1 lakh export milestone in under 25 months by June 2025, before adding the second 1 lakh units in approximately 13 months by July 2026. The vehicle has consistently maintained its position as India's leading exported passenger vehicle since FY 2024-25.

Maruti Suzuki has retained its position as India's top passenger vehicle exporter for five consecutive years, shipping 17 models across nearly 120 countries. During the first quarter of FY 2026-27, the company accounted for over 55% of all passenger vehicle exports from India, with the Fronx, Jimny 5-Door, e Vitara, Dzire, and Baleno leading its international lineup.
