Maruti Suzuki is offering massive discounts on the Jimny in July 2024. Depending on the dealership and the variant, you can save up to ₹3.30 lakh on the brand’s off-roader. With this, the effective starting price of the Jimny reduces to ₹9.74 lakh from ₹12.74 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Jimny is being offered with a cash discount of ₹1.80 lakh as well as benefits of ₹1.5 lakh for the Maruti Suzuki Finance customer. This offer is applicable to the Jimny Alpha variants, which retail between ₹13.69 lakh and ₹14.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The base-spec Zeta variants get a cash discount of ₹1.50 lakh as well as the aforementioned finance offer. Prices for the Jimny Zeta range between ₹12.74 - 13.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Discounts vary from city to city, so please check with your local dealer for more information.
Maruti Suzuki first showcased the Jimny in India at the Auto Expo 2023 and it was launched in India in June 2023. It has a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 103 bhp and 134 Nm, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission and it also gets four-wheel drive. India was the first market to get a 5-door version of Suzuki’s 3-door Jimny.
It comes loaded with many features like a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, automatic climate control, reverse camera and more. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold control, hill descent control, ISOFIX and more.
The Jimny’s rivals include the Mahindra Thar (₹11.35 - 17.60 lakh) and the Force Gurkha (₹16.75 - ₹18 lakh). It will also rival the upcoming Thar 5-door, which will debut on August 15, 2024.
