The 6,000th service touchpoint has been inaugurated in Kozhikode, Kerala.
Maruti Suzuki India has expanded its after-sales network to 6,000 service touchpoints across the country. The country's largest carmaker also announced plans to add around 500 new service facilities during FY27 as it continues to strengthen its nationwide service presence, the automaker has announced.
The announcement follows a record year for the company's after-sales business.
The 6,000th service touchpoint has been inaugurated in Kozhikode, Kerala.
Located on Koya Road, the 1,820-square-metre facility features two service bays, three body repair bays, and dedicated infrastructure for servicing and charging electric vehicles.
The latest addition also highlights of rapid pace of the company's network expansion. Maruti Suzuki took around 14 years after starting operations in 1983 to establish its first 1,000 service touchpoints.
However, the most recent addition of 1,000 facilities has been completed in only about two years, making it the fastest such expansion in the company's history.

Currently, Maruti Suzuki's after-sales network covers more than 3,000 cities and towns through Arena and Nexa workshops, Maruti Suzuki Sales and Service Points (MSSSPs), rural workshops, Service on Wheels units and authorised service stations.
The automaker reached 1,000 service touchpoints in 1997 before expanding to 2,000 in 2006, 3,000 in 2014, 4,000 in 2021 and 5,000 in 2024. The latest milestone underscores the increasing emphasis on after-sales support as its vehicle parc continues to grow.

"In automobile business, along with the product, the convenience of quality service support is essential to enhancing a customer's vehicle ownership experience. As our customer base continues to grow, we are equally focussed on expanding our service network to provide greater convenience and peace of mind to customers. The inauguration of our 6,000th service touchpoint reflects this commitment," Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said in a statement.
"Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our service footprint, and in FY27, we plan to add about 500 service touchpoints across the country," he added.
During FY26, Maruti Suzuki added 502 service touchpoints, the highest annual expansion in its history, while servicing more than 2.84 crore vehicles during the financial year, also its highest-ever annual service volume.
