Maruti Suzuki says it has focused on smaller towns and the interiors of India for this expansion.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that it opened a record 502 new service touchpoints across India in FY 2025-26. This is the company’s largest ever expansion in a single year. The company’s after-sales network now spans 5,926 service locations in multiple formats in 3,000 cities and towns across India. The company aims to expand this to around 8,000 locations by FY 2030-2031.
Maruti Suzuki says it has focused on smaller towns and the interiors of India in addition to the major metros for this expansion over the past year.
With its separate Arena and Nexa workshops as well as Maruti Suzuki Sales and Service Points (MSSSP), Service-on-Wheels, and Bodyshop-on-wheels formats, the company hopes to make the after-sales experience quick and convenient for its customers all over India.

In a statement, MSIL Managing Director & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said “For a car customer, nothing gives more comfort than knowing that they can easily find a service touchpoint and spare parts whenever and wherever they need them. As our customers are spread across the nation and their requirements continue to evolve, we are continuously innovating and expanding our service touchpoints. Whether customers want to visit a workshop, opt for doorstep service, get their vehicle serviced at locations they frequently visit, or require service support during a road trip, a Maruti Suzuki service touchpoint is always within reach.”
The company’s first service centre was inaugurated in 1983, when the iconic Maruti 800 was first introduced. The network expanded to 1,000 locations in 1997 and the 5,000th one was inaugurated in 2024. The company announced last year that it had created another record, processing 24.5 lakh vehicle services in the month of May alone. It's 5,000th Arena service centre was also inaugurated last year, in October.
