The company said its broader strategy has prioritised keeping service infrastructure ahead of sales growth.
Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday announced plans to grow its after-sales service network to around 8,000 touchpoints by FY2030-31, as the country's largest carmaker moves to strengthen customer support to deal with increasing vehicle volumes and rapidly changing mobility technologies.
The announcement comes soon after the company's record-breaking year in service operations, during which it attended to more than 2.84 crore vehicles in FY2025-26 -- its highest-ever annual service load. The feat was delivered through a network of 5,926 service touchpoints, underpinned by trained staff, efficient processes and technology-driven service capabilities.
“Achieving our highest-ever annual service load is a significant milestone and reflects the trust customers place in Maruti Suzuki’s after-sales capabilities. I would also like to thank our channel partners for their continued commitment and tireless efforts, which have been instrumental in achieving this milestone," Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said in a statement.
The company said its broader strategy has prioritised keeping service infrastructure ahead of sales growth, allowing for greater accessibility and more responsive customer support across the country.
Looking ahead, Maruti Suzuki intends to modernise its service operations through new formats and improved efficiency, with the expansion designed to meet evolving customer expectations and accommodate the growing uptake of advanced vehicle technologies.
