Despite intense competition in the compact SUV space, the Victoris has proven to be a major success for Maruti Suzuki.
Maruti Suzuki’s newest SUV has achieved a major sales milestone in record time. The Victoris has crossed the 1 lakh sales mark in just over eight months since its market introduction.
Between September 2025 and May 2026, the vehicle accumulated total sales of 1,00,144 units, establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing products within the portfolio of the manufacturer.
This milestone is particularly noteworthy given the intense competition in the segment. Despite entering a market already populated by strong contenders, the Victoris managed to quickly establish a strong foothold among Indian consumers.
High demand during the festive period, followed by consistent monthly volumes through the first half of 2026, allowed the SUV to cross the one lakh sales milestone well before completing its first year on sale.

A major factor behind the success of the Victoris is its strategic market positioning and aggressive pricing, which appeals to both first-time SUV buyers and hatchback owners looking to upgrade.
While the Victoris is essentially a reskinned Grand Vitara, it has been continuously outselling its twin because it’s sold via Maruti’s widespread Arena dealerships. The Grand Viatra, on the other hand, is exclusive to Nexa dealerships, which are much lesser in number.
Under the bonnet, the vehicle is equipped with the proven 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine. Then, you also have the option of a strong hybrid powertrain with a claimed fuel economy of 28.65 kmpl.
