The Collector’s Edition has been designed and developed specifically for India.
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition in India at ₹4.3 crore (ex-showroom, India). Mercedes-Benz said the Collector’s Edition has been created specifically for Indian customers and will be limited to just 30 units.
The Collector’s Edition will be available in just two colour options – a Mid Green Magno and a Red Magno – and both are from its bespoke line of Manufaktur division. Mercedes says these colours celebrate India’s cultural richness. Other special touches on the G 63 Collector’s Edition include a customised grab handle where the name of the customer will be etched. Mercedes says this is the first time a grab handle has been personalised like this on an AMG G 63.
Also, the AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition also has a special spare wheel cover which has a plaque that reads “One of Thirty”. It also gets a Catalana Beige and Black interior with a walnut wood veneer, as well as 22-inch wheels finished in Gold.
Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “Hyper-personalisation is an emerging trend in the top-end luxury segment, as customers increasingly demand customised vehicles, distinguished by rare craftsmanship, exclusivity of appointments and elements of personalisation.”
The AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition has been developed alongside Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), which provided key insights on the development of the India-specific special edition. Manu Saale, Managing Director and CEO, MBRDI, said, “We are proud to have played a key role in shaping this India-inspired Collector’s Edition of the AMG G 63. With this edition, we aimed to go beyond performance and create a vehicle that resonates with India’s unique identity.”
The G 63 Collector’s Edition comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 577 bhp and 850 Nm. This allows it to have a 0-100 kmph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 240 kmph (both claimed).
